Hornbill's Supportworks ESP 7.4.1 Service Desk achieves Windows 7 certification

December 15th, 2010 -- Supportworks ESP passes independent tests for Windows 7 Logo certification

Hornbill, a leading supplier of service management software, has today announced that its flagship product Supportworks ESP v7.4.1 has attained Windows 7 Logo Certification. As part of Hornbill's expanded quality assurance program, the Windows verification tools and requirements are now built into standard development and release processes, ensuring all future releases of Supportworks will be certified with the latest Microsoft operating systems. The certification means that Supportworks has been tested by Microsoft's own tools that verify the product is compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.

With this latest development, customers can be confident that their Supportworks deployment will be compatible with Windows 7 and will take full advantage of the security, manageability and productivity enhancements that Microsoft offers. Integrating Supportworks with key Microsoft technologies, including Windows Error Reporting, ensures that any errors that are encountered at client sites are correctly and speedily reported back to the Hornbill development team electronically. This allows the team to identify the root cause and provide rapid product updates ensuring minimal disruption to the client. This advancement with Microsoft demonstrates that Hornbill is committed to the ongoing development of Supportworks ESP to ensure it delivers the highest quality of performance for customers.

Gerry Sweeney, Chief Technology Officer at Hornbill Technologies commented, "Our customers come to us for high-quality software that offers the most up-to-date features. Working with Microsoft to gain certification for the Supportworks product line has improved compatibility and reliability when using Windows 7, which ensures smoother implementation and ease of use for all users."
