Hornbill Provides Support Solution to ATOS Origin
June 28th, 2004 -- Hornbill Systems Limited, an innovative provider of service management solutions, today announced it had won the contract to provide its IT Service Management solution, Supportworks, to Atos Origin event management.
As the worldwide IT partner to the International Olympic Committee, Atos Origin plans, coordinates and implements all IT operations and services required for the Olympic Games, supporting all activities from security and health services, to ticketing, accommodation, catering and transportation.
Atos Origin set high standards for their evaluation criteria as support management underpins the overall activities. The operation and selection criteria revolved around an emphasis on experienced service and support, proven and demonstrable multi-site solution deployments, the ability to respond and resolve issues quickly and to easily report on changing status, incidents and problems.
Patrick Bolger, Sales & Marketing Director at Hornbill, commenting on the contract, said, “This Atos Origin event management project requires strategic support to coordinate all those involved and Hornbill’s ability and proven experience with pan-European projects was, I believe, a key factor in our selection as Atos Origin’s partner.”
Hornbill has provided 200 concurrent licenses purely for pre-event planning and infrastructure build and this will rise to 550 licenses during the event. For rapid system and infrastructure management Supportworks has been integrated with LANDesk.
